The Second World Finance Forum and the “Belt and Road” Cooperation Beijing Forum was Held in Beijing

On April 22, 2019, the Second World Finance Forum and the “Belt and Road” Cooperation Beijing Forum co-hosted by the Center for BRICS and Global Governance (CBGG) , the World Finance Forum (WFF)and the Reinventing Bretton Woods Committee (RBWC) was successfully held in Beijing.
The forum is the World Finance Forum’s spring meeting in 2019 with the theme of “Openness, Innovation, Development, Inclusion, and Sharing.” The forum set up sections include: World Economic Situation and the Impact on China, Contributions and Prospects of the Belt and Road Initiative, Order of Foreign Exchange Market, Cross-Border Financial Cooperation and Risk Prevention, Technology Development and Financial Innovation,The “Belt and Road” Cooperation among Food, Pharmacy and Agriculture Industries.
Ma Peihua, Vice Chairman of the 12th National Committee of the Chinese People’s Political Consultative Conference (CPPCC), Feng Xingke, director of CBGG and secretary-general of the World Finance Forum, Marc Uzan, chief executive officer of the Reinventing Bretton Woods Committee and co-founder of the World Finance Forum addressed the opening ceremony.
Rudy Kiryl, Belarusian ambassador to China, Gao Peiyong, vice president of the Chinese Academy of Social Sciences and academic member of CBGG, Wang Zhongmin, former vice chairman of the National Council for Social Security Fund and Chinese chairman of CBGG Academic Committee, Tan Yaozong, a member of the Standing Committee of the National People's Congress, Shigeo Katsu, president, of University of Nazarbayev and former vice president of World Bank, Zhang Jingan, former secretary-general of the Ministry of Science and Technology; Ou Xiaoli, director of the Department of Social Development at the National Development and Reform Commission, Rajat Nag, the former managing director of the Asian Development Bank, Liu Shangxi, dean of the Institute of Fiscal Science of the Ministry of Finance and academic member of CBGG, Harinder Kohli, Founding Director and Chief Executive of American Emerging Markets Forum; Richard Jones, Representing European Bank for Reconstruction and Development and AIIB-EBRD Business Development Director, Liu Weidong, leader of the third-party evaluation team for the “Belt and Road” construction, Hu Biliang, dean of the Belt and Road Research Institute of Beijing Normal University and academic member of CBGG, Yao Yang, dean of the National Development Research Institute of Peking University, Shi Zhiqin, executive dean of the “Belt and Road” Strategy Institute of Tsinghua University, Guo Lian, senior research fellow of CBGG and executive chairman of the Silk Road Industry and Finance International Alliance, Zong Liang, senior research fellow of CBGG and chief researcher at Bank of China, Pan Qingzhong, executive vice president of Tsinghua University’s Schwarzman College, Xi Hui, deputy director of the Institute of Financial Informatization of the People’s Bank of China, Scarlett, special adviser of the “Belt and Road” Initiative at German International Cooperation Agency, Hu Zheng, director of China Merchants Group and CEO of China-Belarus Industrial Park,Guo Mingshe, vice president and secretary-general of China Development Finance Promotion Association, Xu Hongcai, senior researcher at CBGG, Wang Hu, Director of Division of American Studies of International Economics and Finance Institute of Ministry of Finance,Wang Dehao, general manager of Dow Xinjiang Branch, etc. attended the Forum and delivered a speech.
The forum was chaired by Feng Xingke, the director of CBGG and secretary-general of the World Finance Forum, Marc Uzan, chief executive officer of the Reinventing Bretton Woods Committee.
